Unit Description:
This unit teaches students to develop knowledge and skills that promote safety in water and local environments. They explore healthy habits that support wellbeing, including sun safety, sleep, movement, building positive connections with others and healthy eating, including bush foods. Students learn that the brain, heart and lungs are vital organs that help the body function and keep us healthy. Students develop and practise the fundamental movement skills of kick and strike. They participate in and identify the fundamental movement skills in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander games, use feedback to improve their skills and participate in physical activity for enjoyment.
