I didn’t realise how many routines I was expecting students to just know.
I was reminding, redirecting, and repeating instructions all day.. until I realised the issue wasn’t behaviour. I had taught routines.. just not explicitly enough, consistently enough, or in a way that actually fit with how my students learnt.
