Bundle 1: Wondering About Our World
Read together. Look closely. Wonder aloud. Then take the learning beyond the page.
Wondering About Our World is a collection of five beautifully illustrated two-page learning experiences designed to help young children build early reading comprehension, oral language, curiosity and thinking through meaningful, hands-on exploration.
Each experience begins with a rich colour information page created for an adult and child to read, notice and discuss together.
The accompanying black-and-white response page then invites the child to do something with what they have discovered.
They might draw, compare, sort, move, build, test, observe, make a model, explain an idea or try something in the real world.
Rather than separating literacy from play and inquiry, Read • Wonder • Discover brings them together.
Inside this bundle
Our Wonderful Home
Explore land, water, air and the living things that share our Earth, then build a little world and think about how we can care for our shared home.
Hello, Moon!
Discover the Moon's rocky surface, craters, sunlight and movement around Earth, then observe, model craters and design a Moon rover.
Feet, Teeth and Tails
Look closely at different dinosaur features and the clues they provide, then compare, make fossil tracks and build a dinosaur that can balance.
My Senses Help Me Explore
Discover the many ways our bodies notice the world, then investigate sounds and textures, create a movement path and design a comfortable noticing place.
A Home for Teddy
Explore shelters, materials, roofs, supports and openings, then plan, build, test and improve a model shelter for a toy.
Each experience includes
Every topic contains two coordinated A4 pages:
Page 1 | Read & Wonder
A full-colour illustrated information page with child-friendly text, visual explanations, vocabulary, real-world connections and prompts for noticing and conversation.
Page 2 | Discover & Respond
A printer-friendly black-and-white activity page with several invitations for children to draw, talk, move, compare, build, test, investigate or reflect.
That means this bundle includes:
5 colour reading pages + 5 black-and-white response pages = 10 A4 printable pages.
More than a worksheet
These experiences have been designed to support children as active participants in learning.
Instead of asking children to recall a list of facts, the response pages invite them to use what they have read.
Children may:
notice details and gather clues
develop vocabulary and oral language
compare and classify
represent ideas through drawing and making
explore early science and design concepts
use movement and sensory exploration
predict, test and change an idea
explain their thinking
make connections between the page and their own world
reflect on what they discovered
There is no expectation that every child will respond in the same way. Children can point, draw, build, move, talk or work alongside an adult depending on their age, interests and developmental stage.
A simple weekly learning rhythm
The Read • Wonder • Discover collection has been designed to make meaningful learning easy to weave into the week.
1. Read together
Explore the colour page slowly. Follow the child's attention, notice the illustrations and introduce new language naturally.
2. Wonder together
Pause for questions, observations and connections. There is no need to know every answer.
3. Choose an invitation
Use the response page as a collection of possibilities rather than a checklist.
4. Explore beyond the page
Bring in blocks, playdough, loose parts, natural materials, movement or real-world observation where appropriate.
5. Share the discovery
Invite the child to show, tell, demonstrate or reflect on something they noticed or learned.
One experience can be revisited over several days or enjoyed as a single extended learning session.

The Kind Connections Learning difference
At Kind Connections Learning, learning is understood as a whole experience.
Children learn through their bodies, senses, relationships, curiosity, language, movement, play and reflection. These experiences are therefore intentionally designed to move beyond passive reading and towards meaningful participation.
There is space to wonder.
Space to move.
Space to make.
Space to change an idea.
And space for children to respond in ways that make sense for them.
Read it. Wonder about it. Discover what happens next.
