Each set takes one skill a week and builds it across the week, a little more independent each day. The same calm routine runs Monday to Friday, so students spend their thinking on the skill, not on working out what a new worksheet is asking.

• Tuesday: a quick recap and guided practice, then students begin on their own.
• Wednesday: independent practice.
• Thursday: students apply the skill to a topic from your current science or HASS unit.
